Disney debuted footage from Beauty and the Beast during the live action presentation at the D23 Expo this Saturday, as well as a video message from stars Emma Watson, Luke Evans, and Josh Gad. Although no photos or footage from the film has been released, Watson's video message from the set is now available to view online.

'Beauty and the Beast' D23 Expo Round-Up

There were rumors of Beauty and the Beast making an appearance at this weekend's Disney D23 Expo and in this instance, internet chatter turned out to be true. The first footage was screened during a montage at one of the convention's opening presentations and offered those in attendance a first look at Emma Watson as Belle. Footage was also screened at Saturday morning's "Worlds, Galaxies, and Universes: Live Action at the Walt Disney Studios" presentation, along with video messages from stars Emma Watson, Luke Evans, and Josh Gad. First look at 'Beauty and the Beast' debuts at Disney's D23 Expo

Although no official announcement was made concerning Beauty and the Beast at this weekend's D23 Expo, there were rumors circulating that the film would be part of this weekend's festivities. Well, the rumors turned out to be true as reports have popped up on Twitter that a short glimpse of Emma Watson as Belle was included among the convention's opening montage.

The Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios panel on Friday afternoon was the first major creative panel at D23 Expo 2015, and John Lasseter, head of all animation for Disney was on hand to host. Expected news included more about this year's The Good Dinosaur, plus Zootopia, Finding Dory, and more.

The Massive Hall D23 was packed full with every single seat filled with anxious Disney fans. People dressed as Disney princesses and Sith Lords, Marvel heroes and fairies and even as emotions waited for the panel, the unofficial beginning of the show for many.

"We have met heroes and discovered worlds, but the adventure has just begun," starts a sizzle reel that included shots of Avengers characters, animated films, and more. Then it shifted into new films, including Toy Story 4, a shot of Emma Watson as Belle in Beauty and the Beast, the live action Pete's Dragon, Civil War, The Force Awakens, and everything else on the upcoming Disney slate.

"Our Story starts with everything you can imagine."

Hopefully we will hear more about Beauty and the Beast this weekend and maybe those of us at home will even be treated to our own first look at the film.
