'Beauty and the Beast' costume designer revealed

Production is well underway on Beauty and the Beast in London and fans have been treated to a few behind the scenes photos via Snapchat and a delightful tweet from Josh Gad over the past few weeks. While the principle actors and crew members have been in place and known for some time, one name remained illusive. So far, there have been no official announcements or an IMDb listing for the film's costume designer, but the mystery may have finally come to an end.
Atonement (2007)

According to the Kays directory, Academy Award winner Jacqueline Durran is the costume designer for Beauty and the Beast. Durran, who took home the Oscar in 2013 for Anna Karenina, also received nominations for her work on Pride and Prejudice, Atonement, and Mr. Turner.

While Belle dons several lovely dresses throughout the animated classic, it is her ball gown that is the most beloved and the dress fans are anxious to see. Anna Karenina alone is a spectacular example of Durran's talents, but the costume designer is also responsible for the green dress worn by Keira Knightley in Atonement (left). The dress is one of the most memorable costumes in recent memory and Durran will surely pull off a similar feat with Belle's gown. The costumer designer's latest work can be seen in Justin Kurzel's Macbeth and Joe Wright's Pan later this year.

Below are a few pictures of the costumes from Anna Karenina, Mr. Turner, and Macbeth, as well as a video with Durran and the cast of Anna Karenina discussing the film's costumes.
