1. Ewan McGregor: "I think he's really the right guy to make that film."
2. Dan Stevens: "I couldn’t possibly out-Gaston Luke Evans"
Well, thank you. I couldn’t possibly out-Gaston Luke Evans, but yeah, it’s exciting, really exciting. They’re amazing over there and the work that’s going into this movie is quite extraordinary. I’d like to think that it’s modern-day magic, the stuff that’s going into creating this Beast.3. Dan Stevens: "There's some extraordinary digital wizardry going on behind that."
Well, it's a hybrid. I was puppeteering a suit on stilts and the facial capture is done separately using this technology called Nova, which is real pioneering stuff. We're still doing bits and pieces here and there, and just watching that emerge is really exciting. It feels like magic.4. Ewan McGregor: "Recording the big 'Be Our Guest' song was just fantastically fun"
And then, I’ve enjoyed working with Bill on the post-production side of it, as well. And recording the big “Be Our Guest” song was just fantastically fun, and nothing something I’ve done in quite awhile.5. Luke Evans: "When I got the job I was over the moon."
It’s taken eight years in my film career to finally get the job where I was able to sing and enjoy every minute of it. It was an amazing job. Everybody involved was happy to come to work. The set was huge and the cast was wonderful. I had a great time with Emma (Watson), Dan (Stevens), Josh (Gad) and Kevin (Kline). Having Bill Condon directing it simply made it a dream package.6. Josh Gad: "It's just stunning, and I'm so excited and proud to be a part of it."
"What I think the creative team has brilliantly done under the guidance of Bill Condon is it's taken all of these moments that we recollect from our childhoods over the year of watching the film, etcetera, and it's given it new life, new wrinkles, new dimensions that are going to blow people away."7. Gugu Mbatha-Raw: "It's got all the magic and the romance of the original"

10. Josh Gad: "Dan's performance is just incredible..."
11. Luke Evans: "At certain points, the loyalty to the original 25-year-old animation is staggering"
It was really fun to play this character, because it's such a great arc, such a great like arc. He starts as a kind of lovable rogue - says all these self-absorbed egocentric phrases and has his crazy sidekick. And then once he starts to realize he's not going to get his own way, the facade starts to crack, and there's a monster appears, and he ends up being quite the villain.12. Composer Alan Menken shares new details about additional Beauty and the Beast songs
“‘For Evermore’ is this moment where the Beast now loves Belle, and he realizes that she misses her father, and he acknowledges she’s no longer a prisoner, and when she sees her father’s in trouble, he says, ‘Go to him, go.’ And he voluntarily lets her go,” Menken continues. “He’s basically singing about how he now knows what love is, as he watches her leave, and he’s climbing up the turret of the castle as she recedes into the distance, just watching her go further and further away.”13. 15. Director Bill Condon reveals new details about the film's setting, castle staff & more
From the very beginning, I worked with Sarah Greenwood, the designer, and we decided to set in the time and place it was written, in the South of France in the 1740s. It wasn't in some mystical kingdom far away. It wasn't in a fairy-tale kingdom or anything like that.16. Director Bill Condon: "Watson and Stevens dancing to 'Beauty and the Beast.' That really puts you on a high.”
Once we had that reality, once we knew that, it informed everything, especially in the design of the household staff objects. We started to look at clocks and candlesticks from the period and imagined faces in them. And we started to imagine how they could be anthropomorphized. The penny would drop on one of them and it was like, “Oh wow, that could work there.” Then suddenly the whole thing would come to life.
“I hope you feel like when Belle is crying over The Beast and says that she loves him, that you really feel that you’re convinced that these two people are the only ones for each other, that they belong together. That’s why we expanded the backstory and all so that you have something that lets you really believe in that love and feel it and feel that kind of sadness of it.”
